RESULTS OF 3-MAN ROOKIE X FIRE TOURNEY, SATURDAY, April 25, 2009

It was a beautiful day for the seven teams that participated in the first 3-man tourney of the 2009 season.

Each team had the opportunity to play twelve games in the tournament. So there were plenty of chances to demonstrate their abilities and to learn paintball skills from others.

Even the best team did not come close to a max score in each game and every team had some victories.

At the half way point of the tournament, when each team had played six games, Freeballin had the lead with 520 points, Throwdown was in second with 415, CT Crew Alpha had 330 and was in third, Ice Storm had 315, CT Crew Beta had 235, the Prophets had 230 and Slightly Stoop’d had 90 points.

The second half of the tournament was a mirror of the first half with each team seeing its opponents for a second time. Freeballin did even better pulling in 585 more points for a total of 1,105 points and first place. Throwdown took 395 points for a total of 810 and second place. CT Crew Alpha garnered 405 more points for a total of 735 and took third place in the tournament. The Prophets came back strong and took 410 points to end with 640 points and fourth place. Ice Storm got 140 points in the second half to gain 455 total points and fifth place. Slightly Stoop’d more than doubled their first half score to come in with 290 points and sixth place. CT Crew Beta had a rough second half with only 30 points and ended up with 265 points.

The top three teams took home individual trophies. The top team got three air tanks, second place got three Invert packs and the third place team got VL game timers.
